Jason recently returned from almost six months in Europe, where he played in numerous countries and venues from Morocco and Tunisia in Africa, to St. Petersburg, Russia , and Paris France. A new contract and performance dates are currently pending for dates in Asia, beginning this December.
The new album is near completion - waiting only for guest artists, final trumpet/vocal tracks and post production. Check often for updates. Thomas Hutchings (see the link page) will be laying down some killer sax tracks this month - a great player from NYC.
Still trying different trumpets, to find the perfect one for jazz and the upper register, I am currently playing a modified, custom Yamaha 8310Z. What I really need is a Monette, short of hitting the lotto I will have to keep trying new horns.
I have discovered the joy of TORPEDO trumpet cases - you can throw your horn down 30 stories or drive car over the case and no damage is done to the horn - check them out if you can.
Coming soon to this site will be a new MP3 download link...Several industry artists have been GIVING their music away for download, only asking for a donation if the listener enjoys the music. It has gone over very well for these artists, and I will be srtting up a FTP site to download free high quality MP3s of all my music; as well as album art and jazz improv white papers...
******This just in! I may soon be getting a new Custom Trumpet designed and built by two of the best horn makers in the world - Felix Faysher of the NYTC - The New York Trumpet Company.
And Andy Taylor of Taylor Trumpets in the UK.....******
Happy Holidays!
